"My experience as a U.S. Army Veteran, a small business founder and owner and community activist makes me the most qualified of the candidates. I know how to serve my country and my neighbors; I know how to make a payroll and to balance budgets; I know how to make a business grow from a sole employee to managing a multimillion dollar fleet of vehicles for national companies. But most of all I know how to listen. I know how to make your ideas into reality."
~Ron Fisher
Ron Fisher | Family Man
Ron Fisher grew up on his family's farm in rural Maryland where he cut wood, mended fences, milked cows, built a barn and raised prize-winning sheep in his 4-H Club. His upbringing taught him to embrace the value of teamwork.
Throughout his childhood he was a hard worker. When Ron was about 12, he wanted to buy a special saddle for his horse and his parents agreed to pay for half. He found all sorts of jobs and managed to buy the saddle in a surprisingly short time; he worked on a dairy farm, getting up at the crack of dawn, cutting wood and putting up fences.
In school, he excelled at Track and, at a very early age, was interested in participating in solving whatever problems he saw around him; he traveled to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to help the people there after a
flood and also participated in changing the food service at his school when he thought the food was unhealthy ... consequently, the school put in a salad bar, long before many places even had them.
Ron finished high school at Randolph Macon Military Academy in Front Royal, Virginia, where he was active in Track and other sports.
